In addition to all of those other feelings, I couldn't get warm.
Later I rememberedthat certain psychological traumas are described as 'heart-stopping'.
I guess my heart had not stopped since I was still walking around doing business.....
but I think it was running in idle for months.
It refused to push the blood through my veins with enough force to keep me warm.
I felt isolated, exposed, cold.
